The MPS is a non-contact linear measurement solution with 4 – 20 mA and 0 – 10 V analog output for cylinders and grippers with various stroke sizes. The MPS is the only cylinder sensor solution on the market that offers four different stroke sizes: 32, 64, 96 and 128 mm, providing increased measurement flexibility to better meet customers’ needs. Also, the MPS is easy to set up due to single-button, adjustable teach-in of the zero and final point. In addition, the MPS LED provides in range detection of magnet for easy installation. The MPS offers superior precision:  with 0.1 mm repeatability, 0.3 mm linearity, a 0.5 ms measurement rate, and 0.05 mm resolution. Moreover, it offers efficient measurement of the stroke due to minimal blind zones.  In addition, the sensor’s selectable mounting direction and drop-in mounting to the t-slot, makes it easier to handle and install when compared to technologies such as LVDTs (linear variable differential transformers).

 

 

MZT8 Magnetic Cylinder Sensors Details:

The MZT8 is the most flexible and compact pneumatic cylinder sensor for t-slots. The MZT8 offers the shortest sensor housing length on the market - only 24 mm, ideal for short stroke cylinders and small mounting spaces. Also, the MZT8 has a custom ASIC chip with GMR technology inside that provides the most precise magnetic piston detection with only +/- 5% sensitivity tolerance. All other competitor sensors have +/- 25% sensitivity tolerance. Plus, the MZT8 has an active sensor tip (sensing element) that provides more precise piston detection because it reduces travel loss. Moreover, the MZT8 has a captive screw centrally located on the sensor’s housing, which provides extra strain relief for the sensor cable connection. Similar to its predecessor sensors, the MZT1 and MZT6, the MZT8 can be used on round, tie-rod, integrated profile and dovetail cylinders with the help of affordable BEF-KHZ mounting systems. As a result, one sensor solution fits multiple cylinder applications. This reduces the confusion when selecting sensors, and reduces inventory and engineering time. The MZT8 comes as PNP and NPN transistor output with NO (normally open) and NC (normally closed) output options. The MZT8 also has different connection options for M8, M8 with knurled screw, M12 and 2-meter flying leads.

The IP69K-rated MZT8 offers considerably increased resistance for harsh operating conditions, such as high pressure wash down in food and beverage plants. The materials are immune to cutting oils and coolants, among other chemicals. The housing is completely filled with shock and vibration-resistant hot melt material, which protects the sensor’s electronics against humidity. The MZT8 can be used at operating temperatures between -30°C and +80°C.
